ABOUT SCALIA STRENGTH SYSTEMS

Meet your coach

Welcome! I’m Ryan Scalia. Growing up, I started playing drums and bowling at a very early age so I didn’t have a typical athletic background. Being called a skinny kid, I began strength training in high school to gain muscle. What I didn’t expect to gain from bowling, drumming, and strength training, was access to amazing teachers and mentors who would inspire my own joy in sharing knowledge with others. 

 

After going to school for music, I was performing as a musician full-time while still keeping up with my strength training in my personal time. Naturally, I piqued the interest of my own bandmates, often while traveling for gigs, and began helping them in the gym as well. 

 

In 2017, after years of dedication to my own training, I received my first certification and began coaching in small gym settings. As I experienced in my own upbringing, I enjoy being a mentor and helping people find confidence in the gym through sharing the principles I learned from those before me and the ones shaped through my own experience. Over the years, I’ve been able to work with people in their twenties all the way to people in their nineties and help them not only gain strength but move with ease and confidence.
